We at SpeakerGram know that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Please read the following to learn more about our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you are accepting and consenting to these practices and policies.
I. WHAT DOES THIS PRIVACY POLICY COVER?
This Privacy Policy covers how we handle personally identifiable information. Personally identifiable information, or “personal information,” is information that can be used to specifically identify you. This Privacy Policy also covers our policies on information about our users that is not personal information. This policy doesn’t apply to companies and people that we don’t control or manage.
II. WHAT INFORMATION DOES SPEAKERGRAM COLLECT?
We gather various types of personal information from our users. We use this information to personalize and improve our services, to allow our users to set up a user account and profile, to contact users, to fulfill your requests for certain products and services, to analyze how SpeakerGram is used, and to improve and monitor our services. We may share certain types of personal information with third parties. We collect the following types of information:
A. Information You Provide to Us
We store any information you give us. For example, during the registration process, we collect personal information like your name, user name, email address, and other information about you. You might also enter information as you use our services, like descriptions about your experience and qualifications. You can choose not to give us certain information, but then some of our features might not be available to you. Also, we will also store any information you authorize third-parties to give us - like if you import your profile from LinkedIn.
B. Information Collected Automatically
  • Whenever you use our website, our servers automatically log information from your browser, including your IP address, “cookie” information, and the page you requested. Some of this automatically collected information may or may not be personal information.
  • “Cookies” are small text files that your browser accepts from us and stores and your computer. Cookies help us recognize when you are visiting our site, tell us how and when pages in our site are visited and by how many people. You can change your browser’s preferences to disable or restrict cookies, but this may interfere with some of our features (and many other websites, as cookies are commonly used on the internet).
  • We also collect usage information like the numbers and frequency of visitors to our site. We only use this data in aggregate form, and not in a way that could identify you personally. For example, aggregate data tells us how often each of our features is used. We may also share aggregate information with our partners, so they can understand our services are used and optimize any services they provide to us or you. We never give our partners information in a way that identifies you personally.
  • When we send you emails, we may receive a confirmation. These confirmations help us make emails more interesting and improve our service.
III. WILL SPEAKERGRAM SHARE ANY OF THE INFORMATION IT RECEIVES?
We neither rent nor sell your personal information to anyone. We only share your personal information in a way that can be linked to you in these ways:
A. Agents
We employ both people and other companies to provide SpeakerGram's services. We may need to share personal information with them. Before we do, they will agree to abide by this Privacy Policy. They aren’t allowed to use this information for anything other than helping us, unless you receive a notice from us. For example, if you use a credit card to pay for your SpeakerGram account, we’ll need to let a credit card processing company to verify the payment. That company wouldn’t be authorized to use your credit card information other than to complete the payment to us.
B. User Profiles and Submissions
One of SpeakerGram's functions is to help you share information with others. Some of the information about your activities on SpeakerGram will be publicly available, like any descriptions you put in your profile, or your username. (Your email address won’t be public.) Remember: any information you make publicly available on SpeakerGram can be viewed by individuals that we have no control over.
C. Business Transfers
We may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. Also, if we (or substantially all of our assets) are acquired, or if we go out of business or go into bankruptcy, user information including personal information would be one of the assets transferred to or acquired by a third party. Any third party that acquires information from us this way may continue to use the information so long as they follow the version of this policy that was in effect at the time they received the information.
D. Protection of SpeakerGram and Others
We may release personal information when we believe it’s necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or government agency request; enforce or apply this policy or other service terms; anticipate or combat fraud, security, or technical problems; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SpeakerGram, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction. We will disclose only as much information as we believe necessary in each situation.
E. With Your Consent
For any other type of use, you will be notified when your personal information may be shared with third parties. You will be able to opt-out.
IV. IS PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT ME SECURE?
Your information is protected by the password that you set on your account. Please use a strong password, and remember to log-out if you are on a shared computer. We will do our best to protect your information, but we can’t guarantee absolute security. Events like unauthorized use, corporate espionage, or hardware or software failure, may compromise our security. We store all of our information using industry-standard techniques. We can't guarantee that these techniques will prevent an unauthorized third party from obtaining information about you.
V. HOW CAN I DELETE MY ACCOUNT?
Email us at support@speakergram.com. Once we delete your account, you won’t be able to access any information that was linked to your account. The information will remain stored on our servers, and certain kinds of information that you shared with others will remain accessible to them. Deleting your account won’t affect any aggregate data derived from your use of SpeakerGram (aggregate data won’t identify you personally).
VI. EMAIL PREFERENCES
We may use your contact information to send you messages about our services, but only rarely when we feel such information is important. You may unsubscribe from these messages, although we will still contact you when we believe it is necessary, like when you need to recover your account password. You may also receive notifications via email of new messages and reminders. Your notification and email preferences can be accessed from your account settings.
VII. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may change our privacy policy from time to time, and if we do, we will notify you by posting an announcement or sending you an email. Use of information we collect now is subject to the current Privacy Policy at the time we use it. By continuing to use SpeakerGram after the new policy is posted, you will be agreeing to the new policy.

IX. USE OF SPEAKERGRAM BY ANYONE UNDER 18
SpeakerGram doesn’t knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 18 or knowingly allow anyone under that age to register. If you are under 18, please don’t attempt to register for SpeakerGram or send any information about yourself to us. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from anyone under age 18, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. X. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS NOTICE
California Privacy Rights: Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice identifying the categories of personal customer information which we share with our affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes, and providing contact information for such affiliates and/or third parties.
